Shoptiques Meet the Team: Introducing Arianna

Team Introductions

Here at Shoptiques, we are working hard every day to make sure that the best, most unique clothing from boutiques both in your backyard and across the globe are easily accessible—no matter where your GPS says you are. To do that, we spend long, often champagne-filled, hours producing photo shoots with models we adore, creating content showcasing items and trends we're coveting, and making sure that the experience is as ideal and easy as possible for the customers we love.

For such dedicated followers and fans, the women who have supported Shoptiques from the very beginning (that's all of you), we think it's best that you know who we are so that when you call, order or comment, you know exactly who you are working with.

To begin, we are a group of 10 sitting in Soho offices, down the street from a Chipotle and with a distant view of New Jersey. Our Ikea tables that serve as desks hold our Mac laptops, Quaker Oatmeal Chewys, and the dresses we plan on giving away every Friday (no joke!).

At the core, we are exactly like you, women on a mission to help other women feel confident and beautiful as they strive after their goals, whether that goal is to be the world's best mom or the next Apple CEO—or both. We believe you deserve to have it all!

Meet Arianna!

What do you do at Shoptiques?

It's a startup, so a bit of everything! I'll have two main focuses: building and maintaining relationships with our awesome partner boutiques, and growing our customer base through some wild and exciting marketing ideas. Stay tuned, we're brewing up some pretty crazy things in the Shoptiques office!

Where are you from?

I was born in Milan, Italy and lived there until I moved to the U.S. for college. As a girl from Milan, fashion is practically embedded in my DNA.

How did you end up in New York?

It's actually a funny story. I rode my motorcycle into the city all the way from Pennsylvania to meet with Olga, and I had no idea if Shoptiques was actually expanding the team. I got off to a really rough start: my GPS and cell phone both ran out of battery, and my cell charger even broke! But the worst was yet to come. I pulled off to the side of the road to ask for directions, and my motorcycle refused to start. I ended up having to push it for several blocks going the wrong way down a one-way street to find a spot to park it. I then sprinted to my interview, which luckily was the only part of the day that went well, and eventually returned to the bike to wait four hours for a tow-truck. The fact that it started to drizzle as I was sitting on the curb waiting really took the cake. It was actually such an absurdly awful situation that at one point I just started laughing!

Miraculously, everything worked out for the best, and here I am! My (fixed) motorcycle and I are now happy residents of New York City.

What's your favorite thing about New York?

The energy! There's never a dull moment, and that's just how I like it. I also love how there are always new places to explore. The High Line is my favorite recent discovery!

Why Shoptiques?

It fits perfectly with my life. I grew up going back and forth between Italy and the U.S., and when my friends asked me where I'd gotten a particular piece of clothing, the answer was inevitably that I'd bought it in a boutique on the other side of the world, much to their frustration. Finally with Shoptiques they can have access to the same awesome boutique shopping!

What are your favorite boutiques?

My all-time favorite boutique is called Odini Boutique and it's located in a tiny alleyway in the picturesque town of Stresa, on the shores of Lake Maggiore in northern Italy. For handmade purses and amazing hats, I love Sonia Rose in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
