Jennifer Lawrence is on a roll. Two weeks after she nabbed the Golden Globe for "Silver Linings Playbook," the actress took home a SAG award, beating out favorite Jessica Chastain.
But that wasn't the main upset at the award show. Lawrence — who attended despite a case of walking pneumonia — churned the rumor mill when her dress appeared to be torn in half as she climbed the stairs to accept her award.
Mere seconds before when her name was announced, Jennifer nearly fell down because her train was caught under a chair — the apparent cause of the tear.
But here's the thing: it wasn't a wardrobe malfunction. The dark blue Christian Dior Couture dress, which walked the runway last week in Paris, was made of tiered layers of satin and tulle. In an attempt at ladylike behavior, Jennifer held up her dress and inadvertently exposed the tulle underneath.
In a statement to USA Today, a Dior spokesperson said, "The dress is made with different levels of tulle and satin, and that is what the viewers saw when Jennifer lifted her dress slightly. It was not ripped, and there was no malfunction. … It was the design of the gown."
But Jennifer seems to be the only one who ISN'T frazzled about the entire situation.
Her thoughts on the Dressgate 2013?
"I will never look at pictures of this night," she joked backstage. "That’s the only true way to happiness."
To shock and reveal like Jennifer, check out these sheer pieces.
