It’s hard to say whether hats are a girl’s best friend or her worst enemy. As roughly 90 percent of a person’s body heat escapes through their head, hats are a chic way of keeping warm all winter long. They hide bad hair days, are an easy throw-on accessory and often come with adorable matching scarves and gloves.
The problem? It’s rude to wear them indoors. More than manners, you’re going to look pretty silly sitting in the office with a skullcap pulled down around your ears. Remove your cap, however, and you’re faced with a day of hat hair, and an incomplete ensemble.
The solution? Find a cap that’s warm enough for the frigid stretch of time between November and March, but stylish enough to wear indoors without looking as though you got lost on your way to ski lodge.
