Handmade using the kantha stitch technique in India by female artisans who are members of an artisan’s co-operative group, these gorgeous scarves are made of repurposed silk saris. Because they are handmade, each scarf will have subtle variations which add to the beauty. The kantha embroidery technique is a centuries old craft practiced by rural artisans in specific regions of India. It involves making countless stitches in multiple rows to join two layers of cloth together.
