Scotch was born of a painful requirement for patience. Ours is aged in white oak barrels for a minimum of ten years. If it's too old, the oak flavour picked up in the barrel mellows into the same tasting notes as the birch our toothpicks are cut from.
Made from a recipe we created in 2011 and continue to tweak to this day Single Malt No.16 is about the subtle balance of Islay, single malt and top quality birch.
Be patient with this blend, it's boozy, peaty flavour - from a 200-year-old distillery - requires time on the tongue to warm and reveal.
Daneson is different. Purity and process are more than words.
Our toothpicks are made from bone white - American milled - northern white birch.
We plant 100 trees for each one we cut.
We're committed to the subtle character of natural ingredients.
This is why our toothpicks are known the world over.
All our materials come from American and Canadian suppliers, with the exception of our Islay Malt Scotch and our Portuguese corks.
All our ingredients are real, pure, and natural, they are not synthetic replications.
All our lumber comes from managed American forests. At Daneson value is a created through respect. Respect for forests, materials, people and the world at large.
