These unisex sandals were handmade in Kenya. They are made of leather that is harvested after cattle is slaughtered for food purposes. Cattle are a form of wealth. Killing them is never the intended goal unless food is needed, old age sets in or if the animal dies of other causes. Every part of the animal is used because waste is frowned upon. The leather is cured traditionally (this takes weeks to months) and then prepared by hand for accessory production. These sandals age like wine. They soften with wear and they are not damaged by exposure to water. The sandals should be able to give you at least eight to ten years of wear. Make them yours today. The sandals are in European sizing (Size 45). Additional measurements: from toe insert to the end of the sandal: 10" long. The foot cover rises 3" from the shoe. The shoe is 4 3/4" wide at the front and 3 3/4" wide at the bottom portion. Genuine leather stretches with wear. The shoe sole is made from tire tread. Wearing this shoe helps biodegrade tire tread. The shoe is a mix of tan and dark brown.
