This pendant/pin is beautifully handcrafted from solid sterling silver and a very rare natural "Demale" turquoise gemstone, by a Native American Navajo jeweler. This statement piece measures 2 1/2 inches by 1 wide. Artist has handstamped his hallmark "TH" and "Sterling Silver Navajo."
Native American Navajo Made Mudhead Kachina Doll. The Mudhead is one of the most well known Kachinas and can take the place of any other Kachina during a ceremony. He is reddish-brown and is said to have been painted with mud from the bottom of a sacred spring. Mudheads play many different roles; dancers, drummers, announcers, singers and clowns.
