Like so many other boutique owners, Julie opened her boutique for a very simple reason: she couldn't find what she wanted anywhere else. Failing to find a shop that sold several brands and different styles, a place where she could get real styling advice for her personal look - she took matters into her own hands, dedicating herself to introducing people to less common brands that are difficult to find anywhere else in France.
Her personal favorites often include Danish brands for their beautiful and original cuts. In fact, Julie is so inspired by the Scandinavian touch, she translated her name to its Nordic counterpart for her boutique storefront calling card.

Danish designers are extremely trendy, but unlike other fashion-forward designers, they consistently create pieces that can fit anyone and any style. For Julie, being able to dress anyone and being able to make everyone feel special and beautiful is of utmost importance.
Covering the walls of her boutique are pictures of "friends of Juli," all of her inner circle of family, friends and clients, wearing times from the store and showcasing the diversity of people the fashion can fit.

Before opening her boutique four years ago, Julie was a press attachée for large industrial groups, but had long been looking for a position in which she could establish authentic relationships, much like the one her and co-worker Ophélie developed.
Upon first entering the boutique to begin the Shoptiques partnership, Ophélie took over while Julie was busy with other clients, offering French Ambassador Tiphaine a coffee and spending half an hour advising her on what to try on. Ophélie even went as far as to agree with Tiphaine about a pair of ballerina flats not looking very good on her! Turns out that on that day, Julie was just too busy to chat, but Tiphaine joyfully stopped back in a few days later to see both of the girls she had already come to admire.
Come to find out, not only does Julie know pretty much everybody who steps in by their name, but she also knows their tastes and sizes by heart, so that only after a couple of visits she is able to greet you with suggestions of items you'd love. Needless to say, she's almost always right!

Julie is a hedonist and is passionate about food, cooking, art, decoration and of course, fashion. Being fond of beautiful things, she has made it her mission to decorate her boutique with the greatest care, recreating a sort of retro Scandinavian atmosphere. To do so, she kept the walls white and added a light wood as a base, including vintage touches such as a colorful coffee table from the 1950s, a chair by designer Charlotte Perian, who had worked with architect Le Corbusier. Originally, the 1960s chair was made for a luxury hotel in the French alps.

Contributing further to the throw back look are butterflies on the wall, glittery rabbits, and small plastic dolls from the 60s. Every so often, Julie updates her shop window, taking out the plastic dolls and replacing them with real people - a look that has won her and her staff a 2nd place prize in a Parisian shop windows competition!

Julie's attention to detail affects any and all pieces at her boutique. Even the tote bags were made with a high-level of attention to the very graphic design, with a profusion of detail. The paper shoppers are a limited edition and customers continue to use and keep them as long as they can, getting every one-of-a-kind moment out of the bag.
The boutique atmosphere is hard to dislike, with a bowl of sweets near the register, men using a small waiting area, flipping through magazines and sipping on coffee as they wait on their significant other. Most women bring along their chilling, popping in for a chat and making the entire store feel as though it is only a small part of a large and extended family.

As for the central part of her boutique experience (the cloths of course!), expect to be surprised and impressed with every find. Julie is constantly discovering new brands and has hits that she keep refilling. Bruun's Bazar and Baum & Pferdgarten are Danish brands with beautiful designs, such as this blue lace dress from Baum & Pferdgarten or these pants by Bruun's Bazaar.
Among the new additions, Devotion is an Italian brand you'll love for their light metallic sweaters, perfect for spring 2013!

And among the longer-running hits, Polder shoes are fashionable in Paris yet confidential enough so that you don't see them everywhere and can stay unique!
