Meet Chanel!
Tell us a little about yourself—how did you get to where you are today?
I joined the Camille Styles team in 2010 as the company's first intern. I was a college senior at the time, and the company was largely focused on event planning, with a blog on the side. Since then I've graduated and we've made a big transition to focusing solely on CamilleStyles.com, where I act as Assistant Editor.
What do you love most about what you do?
There are lots of things I love about my job, but what I value most about it is the fact that it is purely fun. I'm not kidding... it is fun all the time.
How do you describe your style?
Vintage-meets-modern-meets-me. I tend to shy away from what “everyone’s wearing” and like to create outfits that are inspired and original. I prefer separates over dresses. I'm not big on jewelry.
Who are your style icons?
Diane Kruger and Sienna Miller
From where do you draw inspiration for your style?
I'm inspired by pieces that can be reworked and re-worn time and time again, allowing me the creativity to style and think up new combinations using old wardrobe staples.
Do you have a favorite pieces of clothing?
At the moment, it's a navy high-waisted circle mini skirt I recently bought. It's flirty and masculine at the same time, and the silhouette is super flattering.
Where do you like to shop?
Zara and Forever 21 for anything trendy that’s not worth shelling out the big bucks. Feathers for rad vintage, and Moss for designer pieces I couldn’t otherwise afford.
What advice would you give to someone who has a dream or talent they want to pursue?
Just do it. Take those countless quotes and mottos that you read daily on Pinterest, and actually put those suckers to use!
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they’d be surprised to find out?
I'm kind of a big deal in the Houston rap scene.
Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?
Neither. Cheese all day.
Favorite day of the week?
Friday night.
Favorite color?
White and Red (not necessarily together)
Plaid, polka dots or floral prints?
Solids.
Are you a handbag girl or shoe girl?
Shoes!
If you could meet one person, who would it be?
Beyonce.
Who are the most important people in your life right now?
The same people as always: my family, best friends, boyfriend and dog. Honorable mention: the ladies I work with make my days extra bright.

I'm a sucker for anything is this shade of pale, ballerina pink. And in this case it perfectly softens the look of the tailored blazer.
