Meet Jacqueline!
Tell us a little about yourself — how did you get to where you are today?
I started fashion blogging in 2009 after seeing a few other fashion blogs. I was inspired by the photography and the feelings created by the ensembles mixed with the surroundings.
What do you love most about what you do?
It doesn’t ever feel like work because I love creating and styling new outfits with pieces in my closet.
How do you describe your style?
It is a mix of bohemian with a rocker edge and a touch of romance.
From where do you draw inspiration for your style?
I draw inspirations for my style from old photos of starlets such as Sharon Tate and also from my travels.
Do you have a favorite piece of clothing?
My favorite pieces in my closet will always be my shoes, especially Alaia shoes.
Where do you like to shop?
Shopbop and Net-a-Porter get most of my business
The Shoptiques motto is Be Yourself, Be Different. What’s one thing that truly makes you unique?
One thing that makes me truly unique is that I produce behind the scenes outfit videos for almost every post in addition to photographing the outfit.
What challenges have you faced so far in your business and how have you overcome them?
Fortunately, it’s a labor of love, not a business.
What advice would you give to someone who has a dream or talent they want to pursue?
You have nothing to lose.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they’d be surprised to find out?
I am an avid mountain biker.
Ten years from now, where would you like to be?
I would just like to be happy.
