Michelle Obama's fashion over the past four years has been scrutinized and idolized, torn apart and lifted up, copied and trashed. Even Robin Givhan, fashion critic extraordinaire, tried to put a stop the insane madness surrounding what Mrs. Obama wore while doing things that didn't matter: i.e. gardening, shopping, living a life as close to normal as possible.
But, today's inauguration gown will definitely be a moment to watch. Fashion bloggers and editors are sitting on the edge of their seats to see what the First lady will wear, and if it will be more conservative and in-line with the gowns of the past than her choice was last time around.
Here, we're betting Mrs. Obama hasn't turned a blind eye or deaf ear to the ridicule her last gown received (how dare she expose her shoulders!), but that's no reason not to admire personal style that put critics on edge and gained notoriety the world over.
And now, you too can rock First lady style with the same elegance, grace and poise as the much admired Mrs. Obama.

Inauguration Celebration
While the President took the real oath yesterday during a private event, his second public swearing in, on MLK Day no less, will be one for the books. Standing next to him, Mrs. Obama showed off her moderate tastes in J.Crew shoes and a Thom Browne coat. However, tonight is when the real extravaganza begins and there's currently no telling what dress silhouette Mrs. Obama is planning on wearing.
No big deal, just ape her style from last year and reap the benefits of the critics by covering your shoulders to keep the style traditional.

Jetsetting Style
Already a stellar example to the free world as she continues to fight childhood obesity among middle and lower classes, Michelle doesn't just sit around at the White House and wait for change to take place, she gets her hands dirty and her sky miles rolling. Take a cue from her dressed-up travel attire, ours in a more comfy version.

Green with Envy
An election year is no easy time for either sitting president nor his wife, but the duos winning streak was clear when even the popular vote resided with President Obama, making a green dress the ideal hue for the winner's circle.

Pattern Play
Paying well-deserved homage to minority designers, Mrs. Obama is notorious for having a soft spot for Tracy Reese's heavily-patterned frocks. Ape her love for pattern and play with a similarly sectioned dress.
