How do you describe your style?
I am a fashion chameleon. I’ll wake up and think about what the day is going to entail and then project my personal style in my outfits. One day I will wear ripped jeans, a t-shirt, boots and a statement necklace. The next day, I have on a perforated leather top, sky-high platforms, a pencil skirt and a fedora. My style is a great blend of designer duds and fast fashion and I make it work by investing in great accessories.
What is the most exciting moment you have had as a blogger?
I love being recognized somewhere other than my natural habitat, as the Fashion Hunter, on the streets of New York. Last week on 14th Street, a fan approached me and asked for my autograph. This gave me a sense of pride that I am inspiring my readers to flaunt their own personal style.
What do you love about boutique shopping?
Shopping is an experience for me and I much prefer a curated, tightly edited shop with all my favorite designers in one spot! I am more intrigued to enter a boutique rather than a department store, because I don’t like clutter.
What are your most prized possessions?
Number 1: My daughters.
Number 2: My closet
Number 3: My MacBook Air
Number 4: A Foamy cappuccino
What inspired you to create your blog? What do you love most about blogging?
I have been a fashion stylist for many years and have always loved working in the business. Styling photo shoots, revamping closets, prepping store windows, working on ad campaigns, dressing top models and real women always inspired me to write about my experiences. The Fashion Hunter takes up a lot of my time requires a lot of maintenance, but I love to share all my ideas with the like-minded fashion community. I enjoy finding the cool, and the original and then mixing and matching outfits. I also adore taking pictures, posing, and making fun of myself in the process. So, the blog was the perfect outcome for all my desires.
The biggest rewards from blogging come from setting myself apart from the crowd when I put up a picture. I am really starting to think outside of the box about what I am going to say and how I am going to say it. I get completely immersed in my own love story about fashion.
What are your favorite boutiques in NYC?
I recently discovered Owen – a super cool edgy boutique in downtown NYC. When I first entered the shop, the incredible selection of unique designers and the owner Phillip blew me away!
