How do you describe your style?
This is always a difficult question for me because I'm like a chameleon when it comes to style. I dress how I feel, which changes from day to day but for the most part, my style is ultra feminine, quirky and girly with a little bit of edge.
What is the most exciting moment you've had as a blogger?
It was definitely attending New York Fashion Week this season. It was my first time and I was absolutely blown away by my entire experience! When I was planning it, I was so nervous about getting into shows and what I'd be doing the entire week. Before I knew it, I was rsvp'd to 11 shows and my worries of not having events to attend ended up being worries of how to attend every single event! It was so much fun and has been a huge turning point for me.
What do you love most about boutique shopping?
I love finding pieces that have a story, usually having to do with the location of the boutique and especially finding things that can't be easily found elsewhere!
What are your three most prized possessions?
My Tacori wedding ring, my very first pair of Christian Louboutins (a "souvenir" from their Horatio store during my first trip to NYC!) and my Louis Vuitton Ribera Mm (my dream bag at the time that I painstakingly saved up for when I was 20 years old...the style is no longer in production). Now that I've listed these out, they sound really superficial but they each represent great moments or accomplishments in my life!
What inspired you to create your blog? What do you love most about blogging?
I've been blogging for well over 10 years (since early on in high school!) but although I read fashion blogs, mine was never specifically about fashion. When I got engaged, I spent a lot of time reading wedding blogs and wedding planning became my baby. After I got married, I needed an outlet for my creativity so that's when I decided to take the plunge and start a fashion blog. I knew I wanted to do personal style posts but for the first few months, I kept my blog a secret and didn't tell anyone! I found it silly and a little embarrassing to tell people I'd basically "post pictures of myself in cute outfits on the internet." After I received great feedback from the blogosphere, I went full steam ahead with the blogging and sharing with friends and family. Everyone has been super supportive ever since and it's really a great rewarding feeling. I absolutely love that I have a platform to express my ideas, style fun outfits that I actually wear out and about and then share them with my readers all over the world!
What are your favorite boutiques in LA?
LA is a breeding ground for awesome unique boutiques so it's difficult to narrow them down. I love Moo Venice, an adorable little shoe boutique right on the boardwalk in Venice Beach, that I often collaborate with. I also have tons of fun shopping on Melrose with my friend and fellow blogger Sheryl.
