How would you describe your style?
How did you get into illustration?
I have always loved to draw and paint. I wanted to do something different in my blog posts so I decide to sketch outfits giving my readers a better idea of what I was talking about.
What is the most exciting moment you’ve had as a blogger?
Last April I was visiting a friend at Vogue and he gave me a tour. While he was showing me around I saw Grace Coddington sitting in her office and in the corner of my eye I saw Anna Wintour! I just smiled to my friend and kept walking but inside I was dying of excitement.
What do you love most about boutique shopping?
Big department stores overwhelm me so smaller boutiques make my shopping experience much better. I love developing a relationship with the staff and knowing that they have me in mind when they are shopping for their boutique.
What are your three most prized possessions?
My wedding ring, my dogs and my Iphone.
What inspired you to create your blog?
My “life plan” didn’t work out as I had hoped, so while I was looking for something to do with my life I stared blogging about what was at the time was my hobby, fashion!
What do you love most about blogging?
I love meeting people with the same interests because they understand my crazy love for fashion.
What are your favorite boutiques in Texas?
I love AtriumRTW. It is a little boutique with many designers that you can’t generally find in Houston, such as Prabal Gurung and Viktor & Rolf. They have excellent taste and they always keep each client in mind when they are shopping for the upcoming season. I also love Tootsies. Technically, it is not a boutique but they have a boutique atmosphere. They are the definition of southern hospitality, while shopping you truly feel at home.
